Here’s a glimpse of our adventurous corporate trip in 2022
Here at GelaroGrace Studio, it’s time for us to go on a family outing. Yes!! We are all OOO, celebrating, and enjoying our one-week trip full of adventures and breath-taking experiences. We do it every year to rejuvenate our minds and bodies, which firmly helps us bounce back to work with an elevated amount of enthusiasm.
So, our 2022 trip has surely been a memorable one, full of joys, with a more extensive, better team working, growing, playing, enjoying, and doing everything together.
Are you wondering why we do it? What makes us spend a week out of the office? Well, there are many reasons, all of which are pretty obvious. We understand the fact that corporate trips play a pivotal role in building a creative, highly energised, and fully motivated work culture. And more importantly, it helps us realise some hidden talents and know the secrets of our teammates. Check out a few things we learned about some of our team members, and then we’ll take you on this adventurous trip.
We have been able to figure out some hidden talent.
Little did we know that (Santosh Bharti and Rajnish Yadav) from our Roto team are amazing singers, and Aditya Yadav (Paint) &Deepak Sharma (Roto) dance exceptionally well. They added a great live music experience throughout the trip, keeping everyone energetic, which was quite impressive. On the other hand, we have (Divyanshu Singh) from the Paint team, who is a great storyteller; he took everyone by surprise with his funny stories. Last but not least, our Bade Miyan (Divyanshu Bhardwaj) and ChoteMiyan (Hetej Kumar) duo from the Tracking team made the whole team laugh until they cried with their unplanned double acts. Also, Hats off to our Production team and the department supervisors for keeping the fun train on the full throttle without derailing. We realised that our team is much more experienced than their specific domains. And these hidden talents and skills come out only when you step out of the office. These quirks have undoubtedly enhanced the entire travel experience.
We enjoyed plenty of team-building activities.
Apart from all the beautiful scenery, we explored throughout the journey, we also found some hidden gems amongst us. Our team spent quality time together, knowing each other well, and improving team bonding. To do this, one of our teammates planned an exciting activity; the game was back-to-back draws.
Visiting our favourite stock photography website, we got some vector shapes on separate sheets. Dividing the participants into a team of 2 people, they were asked to sit back-to-back.
One member gets a paper sheet and a pen, and the other has a shape in hand- who needs to give verbal instructions to the other. The team that got the most shapes right was declared the winner.
Our teammates got to know each other better.
This is one of the biggest reasons why we plan a trip every year. We want our team members to know each other better. They spend hours sitting next to each other and working towards the same goal, not getting the right, free time to know each other both personally, and professionally. And these outdoor trips help connect these team members better, especially those who work in different departments and on different premises. All these members came to know each other well and are sure to create a special bond after all the conversations and fun.
Because teamwork makes the dream work…
Yet another important reason that makes us step out of the office is that we, as a team, are working on the same goal: to delight our clients with exceptional solutions and services. We can achieve this when we have a team working happily and dedicatedly.
This corporate trip has undoubtedly helped us become stronger as a team, and we’re sure a lot more revitalised.
Fun has no deadline. Yeah! There were no specific deadlines, no follow-ups, and all we needed to do was to set our minds and hearts free for a few days.
Now, let us take you on this adventurous journey…
Dalai Lama Temple
One of the most historic and peaceful places, the Dalai Lama Temple, is the first preference of various tourists, and we were not an exception. Our team experienced all the unique vibes of compassion and tranquillity; the place is filled with Buddhist prayers, their flags, and Mani wheels along the way.
All tourists and Lamas’ are allowed to join the prayers and can even touch or spin the Mani wheel and take pictures of the monument. Those who are lucky can even look at his Holy Highness, the Dalai Lama, when he is in McLeodGanj. From photographers and solo travellers to those seeking an audience with their inner selves, this is the place to be!
Dharamshala Skyway: This ropeway connecting two tourist destinations
Travelling between Dharamshala and McLeodganj in Himachal Pradesh has been a demand of tourists that have been pending for a long time. Thanks to the Tata Group, the demand has now been fulfilled; the Dharamshala Skyway, an aerial ropeway project, directly connects the two tourist hotspots. The 1.8-km-long Dharamshala Skyway has transformed travel and elevated our travelling experience. This ropeway reduces the travel time and distance by approximately 9 kilometres. A 45-minute ride can now be completed in just 5 minutes.
The Bhagsu Waterfall
Now, from the skies, we came down to the Earth, right in the lap of Mother Nature, The Bhagsu Waterfall is one of the most famous tourist destinations that attract tourists from around the globe, and we are no different. Of course, it was time to take a break and relax; this place is the epitome of peace and serenity. Also known as a religious spot, The waterfall starts at the base of the Dhauladhar Valley. The beauty of this waterfall can’t be described in words, especially during the monsoon season when the water falls from a height of around 30 feet, the scenery is mesmerising, and that’s something that we wanted to explore.
We also found some cafes and coffee shops where we enjoyed local delicacies (Thukpa, Kimbap, etc.) and refreshments. Watching the waterfall while sipping coffee was an enjoyable moment for the team.
Now moving to the mountains…
It’s time to spend some adventurous and peaceful time in the mountains.
Regarded as the heart or crown of Dharamshala and Mcleod Ganj, the Triund trek is top-rated in the Himalayas, situated at an altitude of 7700 feet. Night camping at the top of Triund under the sky full of stars was probably the best experience we all had throughout the trip; we’ve all agreed on this particular point. Triund is a captivating grassy alpine meadow situated at the top of the hill; the view is truly breathtaking. This trek has surely helped us to explore the beauty and calmness of the Himalayas.
We agree that coming back home from such a fantastic journey was tough, but we had to bring the journey to an end and come back refreshed to do what we do best- providing our clients with the best and meeting and exceeding their expectations.
So, if you are among those who are planning an outing, now we are so experienced that we can even arrange an adventurous trip for you, apart from all the amazing stuff we do day in and day out. 🙂
Well, we’re back! And we’re all set to go above and beyond to meet our client’s needs. It was indeed a refreshing restart.
